Decoys

More Decoys

Facing the direction of the mississippi

Only kill of the day

better pic of the blind

Not a very ducky day, winds light and variable. These pics are from stake #10, one of the better stakes . Saw a lot of birds pretty much most of the morning, worked a lot of them too. Without any wind though, they just wouldnt commit.

Ia youg gun..
Can you run your 90 in all the weeds or did you put a mudmotor on your boat? I'm thinking of heading to Odessa next week and was wondering how your motor ran in the weeds.

no we definitely didnt run the big motor in the millet, and we dont have a mud motor. The two places that weve hunted so far this year, 10 and 53, have little cuts going into them that the people w/ mud motors have carved out. So we ran the big motor until we got to the cut and then used a trolling motor mounted on the front of the boat to pull us the rest of the way. Once we got into the stake area, the water has only been about knee deep so far.

The people with mud motors have had time to cut some pretty good paths going into the stakes now, and with the water still pretty low if you dont have a mud motor, walking your boat in shouldnt be to big of a problem.

Now that's what you call a black hole. Did you get any shooting out of that?

Kyle,
That is one huge spread. Did you kill anything? I love the boat how much did you end up spending on it (total)?
